Annette shares what was going through her mind when the doctor told her she had ovarian cancer.

Annette:
When I was told that I had ovarian cancer, first of all I knew nothing about it. All I knew was I was going to die. And I was caught in not only the fear but the anger, because we know our bodies. It’s something that we live with every minute of every day, and I felt like this thing had been growing inside of me and I had never realized it was so serious.

So, I felt the sense of betrayal with my own body. I felt shock that I was going to go through something that I knew so little about, and I really felt like I was kind of falling down a well.
